I have done nothing photography wise recently. I have a garden and am in spring mode which means that I am pretty busy with my collection of plants and trees at the moment. I have had little time to spare. The weather here has been gorgeous for this time of year, warm and dry and spring like and I have loved every minute of it. (for those of you who don't understand the British weather, we have to make the most of it whenever it is good and that can and usually is completely unexpected!) We have had bright sunlight and almosy completely clear skys which as most photographers know is not great for landscapes where the sky is often an important part of the image.....
Finally, yesterday we had some rain clouds and changeable weather so I was determined to get out and try to make at least one photograph! Here it is: A simple silouette, with the sky and colours of the setting sun under the last of the clouds making the picture for me.
I singled out this Oak tree long ago and have shot it on 4 occasions but the conditions have never been enough to pull it off. Yesterday, I think this sky offered me a perfect backdrop and I finally got something worth keeping.
