Ibsley Weir

I have driven past this scene many times. Actually you can barely see this from the road when the leaves are on the trees. I knew it was there and was waiting for a moment of interest in which to capture it. That moment came yesterday with the first day of snow here in the South of England after it hit most of the rest of our island some days before. I was lucky enough to get a few seconds of sunlight whilst my camera was set up, without it I don't think this scene would have worked so well.

The Jet stream which runs across the UK keeping away much of the Arctic chill has moved and instead of running west to east it is now swirling up into the Arctic Circle before bringing the cold weather back down the eastern side of the UK. It's cold!
