Taken moments, probably seconds before [link] with a different framing and totally different light conditions. The sun here has created a more spotlight effect whereas the light in the other image is diffussed and spread out far more.

It always pays to have more than one possible composition ready for when conditions are as changable as this. I had arrived with the intention of shooting the other way for a completely different scene lit by the setting sun from behind me and got this too [link] (which is incidently my favorite of the 3) it did involve some rushing about on very unstable, wet ground but I think I managed 3 suitably different images from one spot, 2 of which I wasn't expecting.

This was shot without filters and I am sure that the sunstar is better, more defined and contrasty than when I use expensive grad filters which must therefore degrade the image to an extent, anyone else noticed this?
