A day filled with overcast skies and heavy downpours of rain and sleet. I was determined to get a shot. I left my poor girlfriend freezing in the car and hiked out to this view of Chapman's Pool on the dorset coast. I could see the gap in the clouds and the rays of light far in the distance. I held on tight and waited in hope that I'd get some light.....

3 exposures using ND grads blended together.

Outstanding light display! Do you find it easier to blend shots taken with GND's rather than without?

Actually I didn't use grads here.... I meant to change the description.
I'd been shooting wide angle with grads and switched lenses.
So this is infact just 2 shots combined 2 stops apart.
It is generally easier to blend filtered shots because part of the work is done already. I would rather just get the shot with filters (simply because there is less work to do in processing) but when shooting into the sun it's rarely possible.
